Yoko slips that Beatles will be on iTunes tomorrow
“Yoko Ono’s apparent slip of the tongue — telling Britain’s Sky News channel that the entire Beatles’ music catalog will be made available on Apple’s iTunes — was news. Then it wasn’t. It was gone, removed from the British TV’s Web site Tuesday faster than you could type “www.”“
Paul reveals another BRB song?
According to SPIN and others, Paul’s show at the new Mets stadium showed Rock Band video while they played Got to Get You Into My Life.
Rumor - Partial Rock Band Tracklist Available Soon
According to this article, a partial Rock Band tracklist may be available at E3 in early June.
The article also indicates that Alex Navarro (apparently from Harmonix, the game’s publisher) said he can’t comment on the multi-mic support. I think that sounds like good news.
The last paragraph of the article is a bit silly:
There have also been speculations related to the use of the fresh, remastered versions of The Beatles tracks, which will arrive on sales via the One package. It would make sense to use the higher quality tracks for the game but nothing is clear at the moment.
From what I understand, these games always use the original master tracks, so using the remasters isn’t really relevant. I wish I could find a link about that.
Rumor - Rock Band will allow multiple singers
As this post states, allowing multiple mics makes a lot of sense.
I assumed the mic stand was bundled so you could play and sing at the same time (something I’ve wanted from GHWT) . The backing vocals are almost as important and catchy as the lead vocals on many Beatles songs (think “Help!” or “Getting Better”), so backing vocals would be a huge win.
But the multiple singer thing is difficult technically. Would we all need to buy USB hubs to allow for multiple mics in our consoles?
I’d love to be able to “play John” and then just do the rythm guitar and his singing part in “We Can Work It Out”.
